More than a website: photos, languages, members, accounts, shop

A website is the shop window. Behind it there is everything else: the photos to keep, the people to write to, the money coming in, the papers to print, the accounts to keep.

Usually each of these has its own tool, its own subscription, its own password. WAOU is a Swiss army knife: everything is in one place, on your own hosting, and it is all included in the €300.

Most people keep their pictures somewhere else and hope it will last: a shared account, a subscription, a service that shuts down. Here, everything is at home. You can download it all back whenever you like.

Photos. You drop them in by the batch, in a single drag. WAOU converts the phone formats most websites refuse, compresses them to the quality you choose and makes the thumbnails. As a square grid or a mosaic, with your frame, your rounded corners, your shadow.

Slideshow and TV. A ▶ button plays the whole gallery full screen, and the screen does not go to sleep while it plays. In TV mode, with no buttons at all: you send the link, or save it as a favourite on a television, and the gallery starts on its own.

Videos. A file of your own, reduced before it is sent so it does not clutter your hosting, or a YouTube address when that suits you better: you choose. And you set your own cover picture instead of putting up with the one the player picks at random.

Sounds. An audio gallery for your music, your recordings, your readings.

From your phone. Your photos and videos are in your pocket? You send them to your galleries straight from the phone, without going through the computer.

Your documents. You drop in a Word file or a PDF: WAOU extracts the text, ready to paste into a page. Your archives stop being a wall.

Your website can speak English, Spanish, German, Italian, or any other language you add yourself. It is not an option and it is not an extra: it is there from day one.

You only translate the text. You switch from one flag to another and you write. The layout does not move: the blocks, the photos, the backgrounds stay where you put them.

Nothing gets forgotten. A counter tells you what is left to translate. A proper name or an address? You mark it "do not translate", and it no longer counts.

Visitors never see a building site. As long as a language is not finished, its flag stays hidden. The day it is, the flag appears.

A picture can change language too. A captioned diagram, a narrated video: you drop the English version next to it, and that is the one shown in English.

A club, a school, an association, a class, a workshop: as soon as people sign up and pay, there is a register to keep and money to follow.

Your forms take payments. Membership, registration, order: you set out the fields, you switch on payment, and the money arrives in your PayPal account. Cheques and cash are ticked off by hand, with a note for yourself.

Your register keeps itself. Each person comes in through the form, with their record and their status: up to date, due for renewal, expired. One button sends a reminder to those who have expired.

Your letters go out from here. You write, you choose who receives it, you send. The unsubscribe link is added on its own, and your list costs nothing as it grows.

Your accounts are in the Safe. Locked with its own code: the cash book, each account with what it holds, and the budget by category, what was planned and what was spent. No spreadsheet, no accounting software.

You sell without commission. Your products, your photos, your prices, sorted into categories. Payment goes to your own PayPal account: no merchant account to open, no monthly subscription, no percentage taken from each sale.

You print without going through another program. Business cards, flyers, posters: the formats are ready, the millimetres are respected, and you draw on the photos and texts already in your website. The same print shop also makes your screen backgrounds, in computer or phone format.

You can be found. Search engine settings take three boxes, with a live Google preview. And your visits are counted honestly: no robots, and not your own visits either.

You know how to lay out a page. What costs you time is everything else: the technical build, the hosting, and the client who comes back six months later to change a date. WAOU takes those three things off your hands.

You design, you do not code. Free blocks, layers, layout templates you save under your own names. You work as in desktop publishing software, in pixels, with no theme deciding for you.

The client takes over after you. They change their text, their photo, their date without calling you, and without any risk of breaking your layout. You are no longer the after-sales service for your old projects.

What you bill is your craft. The tool costs €300 per website, once. Your work (art direction, texts, images, layout) is worth what you sell it for. No licence to renew, no subscription to carry for your clients.

And the day you are no longer there. Retirement, illness, accident: your client does not lose their website. They call me and I take over. It is a guarantee you can give them in writing, and one an agency will never give them.
